Jeffrey Michaelson, MD received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology at the University of Florida. After graduating from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 1992 he came to Atlanta to complete post graduate training at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. He is Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He is the immediate past president of the Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals (GASP).
Dr. Michaelson’s interests lie in the relation between sleep disordered breathing and heart disease, as well as in Pulmonary Hypertension, a disease and field in which he has published and served as Principal Investigator in many clinical trials since 2002. He has been instrumental in establishing a Pulmonary Hypertension Center at Piedmont Hospital in 2010.
Dr. Michaelson has lived in the Atlanta area since 1992, and is accepting new patients.
