Atlanta, Ga. (July 13, 2012) – On Monday, Piedmont Healthcare is launching a system-wide rebranding campaign that will be visible in communities served by Piedmont Healthcare entities. Across North Georgia, there are more than 50 Piedmont Physicians Group offices and over 25 Piedmont Heart Institute locations as well as five Piedmont hospitals located in Atlanta, Fayetteville, Jasper, Newnan and Stockbridge.
For 36 years, the Piedmont logo has included a cross representing the 1957 footprint of the health system’s flagship hospital, Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, which turns 107 on August 5, 2012.
"The Piedmont brand has always stood for healthcare excellence. We put patients first and strive each day to deliver medical expertise with compassion and excellent service. That will never change,” said Matt Gove, chief marketing officer for Piedmont Healthcare. But, we’ve evolved from one hospital into a comprehensive system of care. It's time to elevate how we communicate the spirit of Piedmont Healthcare with an updated look.”
Piedmont’s new look and tag line, “It’s time to get better,” is a culmination of two years of research and will be communicated through many mediums including billboards, television and MARTA buses.
“Our research shows the tagline means different things to different people,” Gove explained. “To some it means, I need to get better or healthier, and Piedmont can help me do that. To others, it means, Piedmont is better – better doctors, better locations, better continuity of care, better connections to my community. And when I need healthcare, that’s where I should go.
“Internally, it inspires our already phenomenal physicians, nurses, medical professionals and administrators to continuously strive to get even better,” Gove added.
