Newnan, Ga. (September 6, 2012) – Piedmont Newnan Hospital will host a fundraising event on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in its Bistro 745 benefiting the American Heart Association’s upcoming Heart Walk and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk.
Attendees can enjoy a special lunch featuring a fresh spring mix salad with grilled chicken and other healthy toppings, whole grain roll, fresh fruit cobbler and drink of choice for a $10 contribution. There also will be a themed basket raffle, a 50/50 drawing and silent auction during the event.
“It’s important for us to give back to the community and promote organizations that are truly dedicated to healthy living, medical research and finding cures,” said Michael Bass, president and chief executive officer of Piedmont Newnan Hospital. “Our hospital team is excited about hosting this event which, with our community’s help, will make a positive impact on these two organizations.”
In addition to giveaways and entertainment at the event, health information on cancer and cardiac health will be available at Piedmont Newnan’s fundraiser for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. Calcium scoring screenings also will be available throughout the month of September with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the two causes.
