Dr. Wilson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in English. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He performed his internship in surgery at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Wilson has practiced surgery in Atlanta since 1988. He has a special interest in hernia repair, gallbladder/biliary tract surgery, thyroid and parathyroid disease. He has served as the President of the Georgia Surgical Society and the Southern Society of Clinical Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
Dr. Wilson serves on the Board of Directors of Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, as well as other safety and quality committees. He is the Medical Director of the Acute Care Surgery program and the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program of the American College of Surgeons at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Dr. Wilson welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
