Dr. Haendel graduated from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency at Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Haendel is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association with certification in Laser Surgery.
Prior to joining Piedmont Podiatry Specialists, Dr. Haendel was in private practice for seven years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and over twenty-two years in Marietta, Georgia. He is currently on the medical staff at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Dr. Haendel provides a broad range of podiatry services with extensive experience in podiatric surgery.
Dr. Haendel has completed Peripheral Nerve Surgery training at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. When not working, he enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking and playing golf.
Dr. Haendel is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
