Fayetteville, Ga. (June 5, 2012) – Southern Vein Care, a Piedmont Physicians Group practice, will open a second office on June 18 located at 1975 Hwy 54 West, Suite 110 in Fayetteville, Ga.
“With the growing need for this kind of specialty vein care, it is important our physicians be easily accessible to provide care to the communities which require it,” said Berney Crane, president of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, the parent company of Piedmont Physicians Group. “We’re pleased that Southern Vein Care chose to expand their practice and bring this specialty to residents of Fayetteville.”
Currently, Southern Vein Care’s existing practice is located at 2959 Sharpsburg-McCollum Road in Newnan, Ga., where Garnet R. Craddock Jr., M.D., FACS, has been serving the community for over 20 years.
Dr. Craddock’s special interest is the treatment of venous reflux disease, which affects nearly 25 million Americans. He performs both VNUS Closure and endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) procedures in his office and offers ultrasound-directed Sclerotherapy and advanced vein treatment techniques.
Having earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Craddock went on to complete his general surgery internship and residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is board-certified in general surgery.
Dr. Craddock is a member of the American College of Surgeons, International College of Surgeons, American Society of General Surgeons, Vascular Access Society of America and the American College of Phelebology. He also is certified in vascular ultrasound interpretation.
